How many guests can you accommodate?

We have 3 guest bedrooms and can accommodate 6 guests maximum.

Our North Barrule Room and Snaefell Room can be arranged as Superking or Twin, our third Sunrise Room is Twin Only.

How far from restaurants, shops, pubs etc are you?

We are only 15 minutes walk to central Ramsey (less than 1 mile), There are many lovely restaurants, cafes, pubs and local shops to visit.

Do you accept children? 

Hillingford B&B is tailored to adults looking for a relaxing stay.

We do accept older children staying with their responsible adults, only if an adult is booking all 3 rooms, so there are no other guests staying at the same time. Our B&B is not set up for younger children, and our spa facilities are only insured for 15+ year olds.

Do the hosts also stay at the property? 

Your hosts Anita and Jamie live at Hillingford B&B, it is also our home. We are registered as Bed and Breakfast, rather than self-catering accommodation, which means guests have access to certain areas of the property only, not the whole house. We ensure guests have their privacy, but we are also available at times throughout the day for any guest queries and assistance.

Do you offer evening meals? 

We provide breakfast but do NOT provide evening meals. We encourage all our guests to support and visit the many lovely local restaurants/cafes/pubs etc that are within 15 minutes walk.

Can we bring food and drinks? 

We have a small shared guest fridge in the conservatory that guests can use. Guests are welcome to bring food and drinks. There are NO cooking facilities. We provide crockery, cutlery and glasses, and ask all guests to eat in the conservatory/breakfast room.

Do you allow dogs or other pets? 

As much as we love furry friends, we unfortunately cannot accommodate any pets at Hillingford B&B.

We have our own 2 MSPCA rescue cats, who are very shy and would not cope well with any other pets.

What time is check in and check out? 

Check in is between 4 and 5pm, check out is by 10.30am.

Do you have any ground floor bedrooms? 

All our bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor of the property, accessible only by stairs. We do not have any ground floor bedrooms. Our full Accessibility Statement is available here

I read that you have 2 cats. Where will they be during our stay? 

Guests should note that we have two short haired female cats. They are fairly timid rescue cats adopted from the MSPCA, who enjoy spending lots of time in the garden and keep a low profile with new people (they usually run when they hear the front door open!)

 

They are not allowed in the guest bedrooms, however they do use the shared areas. If guests prefer, we can ensure they are kept in our private areas during your stay, so please let us know. However you may still see them outside, and they will have used the shared areas at other times before your stay. Whilst we clean and hoover these areas very thoroughly, we cannot guarantee that there are no stray cat hairs in our home. People with allergies to cats have previously stayed at Hillingford B&B without any problems, however this is dependent on your allergy severity and own assessment of risk. We advise any guests consider using appropriate medication for allergies. Hillingford B&B will not be held liable for any consequent health issues.
